This site is a work in progress, ultimately this is a placeholder for the actual site - exciting times
For all things development, from me, to you.
First off, I'll go over a few questions you probably have. The below wall of text is collapsible - this will make the website easier to read.
Q. What is this website?
A. This is, first and foremost a way for me to improve myself through working. I will also be using this site to demonstrate what I can do and how far I have come as well as (hopefully) helping other like minded people.
Q. Who are you?
A. I am a Developer, though, at the moment I'm a Full-Stack Developer. I started working as a design analyst / full-stack developer around 2017, coming from a helpdesk as a support tech and network engineer.
I had no formal training and was a self-taught programmer, mainly working in Python and C++ at the time, I have a decent working knowledge of many more languages, specialising in back-end C#, VB.Net (I don't much like it but when you're working with legacy applications it can't really be helped), T-SQL and recently branching out to Javascript, Typescript and dabbling in F# - I'm by no means an expert but I'm driven to learn and have a real passion for development - I'm always learning and want a place to share my knowledge.
Q. There's not much on here, why is that?A. Simply put, I'm kinda busy 🤷♂️. I am writing this page as a project, mainly as a way for me to look over what I'm doing and share this with others. I will be adding some cool stuff onto the site and I'll be including some tools I have wrote and use to help me throughout the day.
Q. So what's the goal here?
A. I want to have somewhere that I can share things that I learn or do, hopefully helping others that are on the same path as I am and share tips, tricks and useful stuff within a community. Maybe It'll help someone out.
Ultimately, this google site will be replaced by my own site, hosted (hopefully) in the cloud... once I figure out what stack I want to use (leaning towards full Blazor + MongoDB OR VueJS + TypeScript + C# backend). Changes are coming and this is all still a WIP 😁
